Reschedule Standalone Work Order
Usage
Use this dialog box to reschedule a work order.
Rescheduling is necessary when the prerequisites for the work to be performed
changes, for instance due to emerging work or changes in the resource situation
or when there are resource constraints. The standalone work order, i.e., a work
order which is not connected to a project or is not included in a work order
structure,
will not be rescheduled immediately since there are frequent multiple updates
done to a work order and these updates need to be completed before the
reschedule can take place. The following options can be selected when
rescheduling the work order:
- Allow Reassignment - Directs the scheduler
to reassign resources between work order operations during a scheduling run.
- As Late As Possible - The work order will
be scheduled as close as possible to its Requested Finish date.
- Refresh Materials - The information about
parts that constitute constraints will be refreshed from the database to
IFS/CBS prior to performing scheduling.
- Include Released Orders - Select this
option to also reschedule work orders that have been released, i.e., are in
the Released status.
- Compress Downstream from Bottleneck -
Select this option if you want to keep the work order operations as close as
possible to the bottleneck resource.
